i feel like i have to pay for everything…
October 29, 2006…because i do. i really want to find a way to upload my photos online. i was using flickr, but they’re telling me that i have to upgrade for $24.00/year. right, $2 a month but come on. so does anyone have an suggestions for a photo storage site that doesn’t cost anything or have any feedback on their flickr experiences before i drop the dough for an upgrade? is it worth it? if not, what’s better?
i have updates, but i’m tired from a long weekend and just returning from being intentionally lost on the backroads of southeast wisconsin.
i’d say do it with flickr. flickr is awesome and $25/year is NOTHING compared to what you get for it. i have not personally paid for it (yet), but since i’m switching my blog over to wordpress.com soon i’m going to be upgrading when i do. i know that shane has upgraded and he loves it. if you do that, you can upload 2GB of pictures PER MONTH!! that’s insane. i say go for it, i know I AM.
i just thought of something… you don’t have to pay for your blog. that’s free! anyhoo, you inspired me to just do it now, and so i did. i upgraded!
i dropped the $25 just a bit ago and i’m already happy i made the decision to do so. especially the map option where you can make your photos geospecific – my so geeked out i’m twitching. good call on the upgrade.
that’s awesome pete. i’m uploading like crazy!
[...] fall, peter was blogging (complaining?) about having to “pay for everything” these days. in that particular instance, he was talking about the $25/year charge for the pro flickr account. [...]
